Field, Forest & Fen is an anthropomorphic animal tale, inspired by chapbooks of the 1600-1800's, folk horror of the 1970s, and various other works of fiction ranging from Aesop's Fables to 'Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH' by Robert C. O'Brien. It is a vision of a world of the supernatural and religious superstition that existed once upon a time, but not so long ago, and to some extent, still exists in the hearts and minds of many today.
